Pulse Online

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-12

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pulse Online ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. License Grant

Subject to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Mac that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business use.

A successful one-time in-app purchase unlocks the full version of the App permanently for the Apple ID that made the purchase, in accordance with the Mac App Store's family sharing and redownload policies.

To the extent these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA governs your use of the App.

3. Free Trial

The App includes a 30-day free trial that begins on first launch. All features are available during the trial. When the trial expires, core functionality is locked until you complete the one-time in-app purchase. The trial is offered once per device and cannot be reset.

4. Purchases & Refunds

The App is sold exclusively through the Mac App Store as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewing charges. The price is displayed by Apple and charged in your local currency at the time of purchase.

All payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process your payment information. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except as permitted by applicable law;
  • redistribute, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App;
  • modify or create derivative works of the App;
  • use the App to circumvent employer, school, or platform monitoring, attendance, or policy-enforcement systems where such circumvention is prohibited by agreements, rules, or laws that apply to you.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with your own contractual obligations and local laws.

6. Accessibility Permission

The App requires macOS Accessibility permission solely to synthesize minimal mouse-movement and modifier-key events locally, in order to keep the system awake and preserve your "Online" status in messaging apps. The App does not read, record, log, or transmit any input events, keystrokes, or screen contents.

7. Privacy

The App collects no personal data and makes no network connections. It operates entirely offline. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that every messaging platform will interpret simulated user activity as "Online", that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with future versions of macOS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE APP.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and on the App's website. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

Except to the extent expressly provided otherwise, these Terms and your use of the App are governed by the terms of Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the laws applicable under it (generally the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, or the laws of your country of residence if you are a citizen of a European Union member state, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland). This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country of residence.
