NETPASS is a network management app for MikroTik RouterOS hotspot administration, primarily used on maritime vessels with Starlink satellite internet. This policy explains how NETPASS handles your data.

Data Collection

NETPASS does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties. All data stays on your device and local network.

What the app stores locally

  • Router credentials (username/password) — stored in Apple Keychain (encrypted)
  • Connection settings (IP, port) — stored in UserDefaults (local preferences)
  • Traffic reserve percentage — user preference, stored locally

What the app accesses on your network

  • MikroTik RouterOS REST API — direct communication over LAN
  • No cloud servers — zero external server communication

Data Sharing

No data is shared with third parties. Specifically:

  • No analytics SDKs
  • No advertising or tracking
  • No crash reporting services
  • No server-side components

In-App Purchases

NETPASS Pro is a one-time purchase ($19.99) processed entirely through Apple's App Store. Purchase status is managed by Apple StoreKit — NETPASS does not process or store payment information.

No subscription. No recurring charges.

Data Security

  • Keychain storage with hardware-backed encryption
  • HTTP Basic Auth over local network
  • Self-signed SSL for private IPs (RFC 1918)
  • Backup files (.netpass) encrypted with AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA256

Your Rights

  • Delete: uninstalling the app removes all data
  • Export: encrypted .netpass backup file
  • No account required — ever

Children's Privacy

NETPASS is a professional network administration tool and is not directed at children under 13.
